XSLfast version 3.0 is available
XSLfast announces the release of XSLfast 3.0. This version includes many powerful new features such as logical styles support, the combination of multiple pages from independent layouts as a new way to create multilayouts, user defined default values for all components, advanced support for custom variables and import of XSL files, import of XSL templates as layouts, a Find/Replace feature and MS Office like layout protection with password and also bugfixes of the previous versions.
More added or changed functionalities in XSLfast 3.0:
- Logical styles support
- Combine multiple pages from several independent layouts with as a new way to implement multilayouts

- New components (Internet Link, Date/Time, Square, Page numbering)
- Multiple external template files can be used
- Import of external XSL files
- The user interface for external template support has been completely redesigned and improved

- XML files with no specific root node are now supported
- Java namespaces and various unit of measures are available in XSL/XSL-FO files natively
- Various file encodings are now supported
- Major usability improvements (filters, sort modes, precision management, XML node sorting and more)
- Find/Replace feature
- New multilayout technique has been added; no limitation to book shape
- Ability to import/export pages from multilayout
- Locking is now supported for all elements
